State Information
|
Oregon is a state in the USA. The capital city is Salem and largest city is Portland.
History[edit]
Homer was going to Las Vegas, but along the way he had to take Bart to Upward Bound, located in Oregon. During the road trip through the state, Bart and Homer had some bonding experiences which resulted in Homer realizing how much he loved his son. Homer accidentally drove through the Birthplace of Matt Groening while in Oregon.
After dropping Bart off and getting back on the road to Vegas, Homer realized how much Bart actually meant to him and went back to Upward Bound to pick him up.[1]
Oregon appeared in a story told by Marge. When Lewis, Clark and Sacagawea arrived at the Pacific Ocean and a heavy downpour began, Lewis announced that he was naming the place "Eugene, Oregon".[2]
Paula lives in Portland, Oregon. Marge went to stay with her for a month to train for a timbersports competition, Grizzly Timbersports Northwest Championship.[3]
Troy McClure has married Selma only to squash bizarre rumors about his personal life and help his career. Troy's agent MacArthur Parker pointed out the big roles now go to family man and they start going through baby names listing off states which are no longer available. Troy suggested Oregon and MacArthur Parker responded, "Oh.. Pacific Northwest, very hot."[4]
