Food/Drink Information
|
Shamrock Shakes are a popular seasonal milkshake sold during the months of February and March.
History[edit]
Chief Wiggum and Lou debated whether Shamrock Shakes were actually mint-flavored or simply vanilla with green food coloring. Lou insisted the chief only thought he tasted the mint because the shake was green, "and your mind is playing tricks on you." Wiggum resented the suggestion.[1]
During Springfield's first booze-free St. Patrick's Day celebrations, Mayor Quimby claimed the Irish "gave the world the paddywagon, the Shamrock Shake, and folk-dancing where you don't move your arms."[2]
When Wiggum was shot, Doctor Hibbert said his scans revealed his left lung was filled with Shamrock Shake, even though "McDonald's didn't even sell them this year."[3]
