Washington is one of the 50 states in the US. Its capital city is Olympia, and its most populous city is Seattle.
History
Evelyn Peters said she will not eat anything unless it had been shipped overnight from Vermont or Washington state.[1]
After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family was trying to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They were looking at a map of the US that had most of the states crossed out, which were apparently all the states that the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[2]
During the Trappuccino affair, while the Simpsons were hiding out in Alaska, they learned that the federal government was planning to blow up Springfield. Marge tried to get everybody to go back to Springfield to try to help. When Homer refused, Marge and the kids left him behind and headed for Springfield on their own. However, they were spotted in Seattle and quickly arrested by Russ Cargill's agents.[3]
