The Chicago Cubs are a current Major League Baseball (MLB) team in Chicago, Illinois.
History[edit]
Cubs fan favorite Hall of Famer, Ron Santo was seen in a book at the Springfield Library. Once Lisa put it down, a bum took it and said he would use it as toilet paper.[1]
After Homer comes to India he remarks, "This isn't India! Where's the University of Notre Dame and the Indy 500 and Wrigley Field and Dodger Dogs?!" to which an Indian woman replies, "You ignorant American! You have confused India with Indiana, Indiana with Illinois, and the Cubs with the Dodgers!"[2]
Wrigley Field, the Cubs stadium was once visited by Mr. Burns and Homer.[3]
Kearney admitted he is a bully, because he's a Cub fan.[4]
Don Bookner, a co-safety inspector who had been covering for Homer "all these years", says,in response to Homer asking him why he did it, "I felt there was something special in you. It's like rooting for the Cubs. You keep thinking they'll make it, and then you realize they never, ever will."[5]

Kang and Kodos were watching the sixth game in the world series and wanted it to ending so The Simpsons' Halloween Special can air. After a while, Kodos fired the Accele-Ray but Kang thought it was still boring so he ordered Kodos to speed up the Accele-Ray. Kodos mentioned that the fabric of the universe itself may shatter. Kang told Kodos that it's good as only then the Cubs will finally win.[6]
