Plot[edit]

Bart, Milhouse and Martin are reading the latest issue of Radioactive Man, where the Superior Squadron turns into lemurs. Bart and his friends don't like the comic. Milhouse then makes a connection with a previous issue and then explains some continuity between comics.

Meanwhile, Krusty has become the owner of the publisher of Radioactive Man, and he tells the staff that the sales are down so he asks them to come with a storyline that increases the sales. Their ideas, including death, broken back, a new suit, and a colossal crossover, all fail, as they have all been done before. So Krusty sends in Lindsey Naegle who presents an idea that has never been done before. Everyone loves it but doesn't know how to promote it. Lindsey says that they'll promote it by saying nothing.

Bart and Milhouse are sitting in Bart's room and talking about how modern Radioactive Man is terrible and how much they hate the new storylines. Meanwhile, Marge notices that Bart's been acting not normal lately, and Homer notices a rumor that the Springfield Isotopes are getting rid of Buck Mitchell. On the news, Kent Brockman talks about the change and how people loves his adventures. Meanwhile, at the Android's Dungeon, Comic Book Guy gets a lot of business after Kent told everyone to run there. Lots of people (including Lenny, Carl, the Squeaky-voiced teen, Smithers, Bumblebee Man, Otto, Benjamin, Doug, Gary, Moe, Mrs. Krabappel, Groundskeeper Willie, Professor Frink, and Barney) come, demanding to know the change. Bart, Milhouse, and Martin sorrowfully sit outside, longing for the days when they were the only people who cared about Radioactive Man.
