Rhode Island is a U.S. state and smallest by area of the 50 states. The capital and most populous city is Providence.

History[edit]

Lenny points out Moe's liquor license is only good in Rhode Island. Moe claims "I've been meaning to get that updated, uh, for this state".[1]

Homer's mother learns that there is such a thing as clam chowder Rhode Island-style.[2]

After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family was trying to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They were looking at a map of the US that had most of states crossed out, which were apparently all the states that the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[3]
