Apu's car is a 1979 convertible second generation Pontiac Firebird, in red with a gold Firebird hood decal.

Apu is shown washing the car in "Two Bad Neighbors". It is unknown if he had to sell his car once he married Manjula and had the octuplets^{[citation needed]}.

It's unknown if the car is a Trans Am spec Firebird or a regular one.
