Synopsis
- "Set in the future, Homer has a new clone for every time he dies. Lisa is married to a zombie version of Milhouse, while Bart deals with custody issues with his ex-wife, Jenda. Each defines what love means to them."

In September 2013, it was announced by show-runner Al Jean that the episode would serve as a direct sequel to the season 23 episode "Holidays of Future Passed." It was also revealed that Parks and Recreation star, Amy Poehler, would guest star as Bart's future ex-wife, Jenda, who was previously voiced by Poehler in "Future-Drama."[1]
Al Jean also disclosed that the episode is set 30 years on from 2014 (2044) and that, "Bart is trying to get over his divorce and he does it in a bit of a Total Recall-type way. I won’t give away what happens, but that’s a clue." [1]
Reception
"Days of Future Future" was watched by 3.64 million people, making it the second most watched show on FOX's Animation Domination that night, beating Bob's Burgers and American Dad! but lost out to Family Guy. [2]
