- The episode title is a reference to The Moody Blues album Days of Future Passed, previously referenced in the episode "Holidays of Future Passed".
- "Once in a Lifetime" by Talking Heads plays at footage of Homer Simpson's clone in the future.
- Jerry appears to be based on the aliens from the Alien franchise.
- Cretaceous Park is a parody of Jurassic Park, as well as a reference to most of the dinosaurs used in Jurassic Park being from the Cretaceous era.
- The method of implanting memories is a parody of Total Recall.
- Jimbo Jones pulls out a miniature lightsaber from Star Wars when attempting to mug Lisa and Milhouse.
- The Real Housewives of Venus is a parody of The Real Housewives series.
- "Girls" by Beastie Boys plays when Krusty and Bart are in a women's in bed in the future.

- Marge mentions that she and Homer were married for 35 years, but with the episode set 30 years in the future, they should've been married for, at least, 40 years. Although they could have been separated for five years in the past.
