The Simpsons: Tapped Out Level 27 content update

The fifteenth content update was released on March 21, 2013.

In the thirteenth content update, a task for Lisa to "Meditate" for 30 minutes at the Springfield Buddhist Temple appeared, locked, in Lisa's task list. The task was removed with the next update, before being released officially with this update.

The content of the update was known a few weeks before its release; on March 7, 2013, both the TSTO Player forum and the official EA Tapped Out forum posted a list of new characters and buildings set to be introduced with a Level 27 content update.

The update also changed the length of Tom O'Flanagan's, introduced in the St. Patrick's Day update, "Visit the Track" task from 3 hours to 24 hours.

The description of the Mystery Box was also changed to "A prize in every box with a chance to win premium items!"

Many players posted on the Tapped Out forum that with the update the XP goal had been reduced to a mere 9,000 and caused the XP bar to freeze. According to the TSTO Tips blog, if the player buys between 10-40 weather stations the XP bar should start moving again.

After tapping Rev. Lovejoy's exclamation mark Ah, Lisa Simpson! You wanted to speak to me about a apiritual crisis. Perhaps you've come to hear a humble 'I told you so'. Actually I'm trying to find meaning in this world of daily drudgery. All you need to do is trust in the wisdom of the Almighty Finger. I mean, God. Actually, Springfield exploded and then returned. I've been thinking this might be proof of the Buddhist concept of Samsara - Oh Lord. Is this another conversation where you try to convince me Buddha was just a chubby Jesus? The player receives "Buddha's Got Back Pt. 1" which is to "Build Springfield Buddhist Temple". It takes 24 hours and costs 222,500. The player receives total 100 and 10 in reward. New characters are Lenny and Carl. Build New Characters

Buddha's Got Back Pt. 2

After tapping Lenny's exclamation mark Wow, we suffered a fiery nuclear death and now we're reborn! I guess the Buddhist theory of reincarnation is right. Yeah. And we came back as ourselves. Boy, we must've really screwed up the last time. But we did everthing right. Gave to the poor. Helped old ladies cross the street. Made sure our magazines were, at the minimun, barely legal. I was hoping to at least be reincarnated as you. I don't understand it either. We need to go someplace where we can contemplate the mysteries of our existence. The player receives "Buddha's Got Back Pt. 2" which is to "Make Lenny Drink at Moe's" and "Make Carl Drink at Moe's". It takes 8 hours. The player receives total 650 and 150 in reward.

Little Miss Mantra

After tapping on Lisa's exclamation mark Now that the Buddhist Temple is back, I can continue on my quest toward spiritual enlightenment. Oh honey, can't you just go to normal church with the rest of us? I don't want us to all end up in different heavens. Eh, let her go, Marge. The boy's not going to be there anyway -- it'll be nice for you and me to have some alone time. Thanks Dad... I guess. The player receives "Little Miss Mantra" which is to "Make Lisa Meditate". The tasks takes 30 minutes. The player receives total 140 and 20 in reward.

Buddha's Got Back Pt. 3

After tapping on Moe's exclamation mark It's great to have my closest friends back. Now, settle your tab before I stab out your lungs. But Moe, all our money burned up in the explosions. So did my bar tabs... but I still expect you to pay them! If you need money, you guys should get your old jobs back at the plant. Then you can cover for me when I'm never there. The player receives "Buddha's Got Back Pt. 3" which is to "Send Lenny to do a Plant Shift" and "Send Carl to do a Plant Shift". The tasks takes 16 hours. The player receives total 1,100 and 260 in reward. Thank you both for reporting to work. Unfortunately, with so few people in this town, and my recent raise, we only have enough money to pay one of you. Only one? Well, then I say give the job to Carl. I say give the job to me as well. Hey! I thought you were going to do that thing where you say no, give him the job, and then we argue over something good. Nope. Did that thing where I just take it.

Buddha's Got Back Pt. 4

After tapping Lenny's exclamation mark Guess I have to rely on my fallback teaching job. Good thing I'm an expert on how chew tobacco. I knew you'd bounce back. Speaking of bouncing and things that have back, I have a date with your sister. The player receives "Buddha's Got Back Pt. 4" which is to "Build the Adult Education Annex", "Make Lenny Teach Class on Chewing Tobacco" and "Make Carl Date Lenny's Sister". After tapping Lenny's exclamation mark I forgot that my fallback teaching job is unpaid. Guess I gotta put on my fallback fallback job: being a best-selling novelist. The player receives "Lenny's Downfall Pt. 1" which is to "Make Lenny Work on his Mystery Novel". The task takes 12 hours. The player receives total 520 and 110 in reward.

Lenny's Downfall Pt. 2

After tapping Lenny's exclamation mark One paragraph down. Seven-thousand, six-hundred, and forty-two more to go. Writing always puts me in the mood to grab a beer and not write. Whaddaya say we got to Moe's, Carl? ... Oh, right -- Carl and Moe's are both out of my life. Well, I can't just sit around feeling sorry for myself. I'm going to WALK and feel sorry for myself. The player receives "Lenny's Downfall Pt. 2" which is to "Make Lenny Mope". The task takes 24 hours. The player receives total 700 and 160 in reward.

Lenny's Downfall Pt. 3

After tapping Lenny's exclamation mark Hi, is there a problem officer? There sure is. For starters, it is illegal to kick a can in the town of Sprinfield. But that law is outdated. It was in Season 16! Also, you jay-walked back there, you don't have a license for those suspenders, and you just talked back to a police officer. Strike four! The player receives "Lenny's Downfall Pt. 3" which is to "Make Lenny Go in for Questioning". It takes 8 hours. The player receives total 375 and 80 in reward. What a relief. Now that criminal is off the streets, I can go out and rob people.

Lenny's Downfall Pt. 4

After tapping Quimby's exclamation mark Since there are no, er-um, judges or lawyers yet in our city, your punishmeny is up to me. First question, have you ever donated to my campaign? No. I don't have a job or any money. That's terrible. But at least I can offer you a place to eat and rest. The player receives "Lenny's Downfall Pt. 4" which is to "Make Lenny Serve Time". It takes 24 hours. The player receives total 700 and 160 in reward.

Carl's Rise Up The Ladder Pt. 1

After tapping Mr. Burns' exclamation mark Smithers, I need to promote someone. The towel boy in the executive washroom is starting to get lonely. But sir, we only have two other employees. And one of them is Homer Simpson. Then we'll have to promote the other one. Thank you, Mr. Burns. But I've reached the phase of Buddhist enlightenment where I feel no attachment to material wealth. I'm willing to give you a sixty-percent raise and a four month salary signing bonus. Then again, I've never really tried being rich before. Executive washroom, here I come! Excellent. Let's, shall we say, seal the deal. I hope dinner at 5:30 pm is not too late. The player receives "Carl's Rise Up The Ladder Pt. 1" which is to "Make Carl Go for Dinner at the Burns Manor". It takes 2 hours. The player receives total 210 and 37 in reward.

Carl's Rise Up The Ladder Pt. 2

After tapping Smithers' exclamation mark Excellent first day Mr. Carlson! Thanks. Hey, uh... normally I hang with Lenny. But since he's not around, would you - Ooo, are you inviting me out for apple-tinis? Well, not that. Yay! Apple-tinis! The player receives "Carl's Rise Up The Ladder Pt. 2" which is to "Make Carl Sip Apple-tinis at Moe's" and "Make Smithers Sip Apple-tinis at Moe's". It takes 4 hours. The player receives total 350 and 100 in reward. So Carl's hanging out with Smithers now, huh? He always goes for the same type.

Carl's Rise Up The Ladder Pt. 3

After tapping Brockman's exclamation mark What is it that is happening, Carl, my brother. We minorities have to stick together. Say what now? Us in the One Percent. With whole ninety-nine percent looking to tan our hides. Care to join me in using my ill-gotten tax-free capital gains to eat at pricey restaurants. The player receives "Carl's Rise Up The Ladder Pt. 3" which is to "Make Carl Dine at the Gilded Truffle", "Make Brockman Dine at the Gilded Truffle", "Make Carl Dine at El Chemistri" and "Make Brockman Dine at El Chemsistri". It takes 4 hours (2 hours each). The player receives total 540 and 118 in reward.

True Bromance Pt. 1

After tapping Homer's exclamation mark Hey Carl. Homer, please, call me Mr. Carlson. Uh, yeah. Have you seen Lenny lately? 'Cause if not, I have him right here. Hey guys, thanks for agreeing to meet me. I'd like to offer you a great opportunity to give me money. I need it to buy back my freedom from this guy I met in prison. Jeez, Len, you don't look so good. Or act so good. I'm just trying to outrun the inescapable feeling of failure and disappointment. WHAT'S THAT BEHIND ME!? I think you need to rest, buddy. And I need to think some things over. Soberly, for a change. The player receives "True Bromance Pt. 1" which is to "Make Lenny Crash at the Buddhist Temple" and "Make Carl Meditate". It takes 12 hours and 4 hours. The player receives total 695 and 155 in reward.

True Bromance Pt. 2

After tapping Carl's exclamation mark Excuse me, Mr. Burns, I was wondering if you could find it your heart to hire back my good friend Lenny Leonard. In my heart? Ho-ha, what a delightful jape! Please sir. Couldn't you just pay me less, and use the money you save to hire Lenny? But if I paid you less, then you wouldn't be making more money than you deserve... which means you could no longer be an executive. Then I guess I'll just go back to my old job. Very well, Your compassion has taught me something... why I am luducrously rich and you are middle class. You and your friend can have your menial, nuclear energy jobs. Now let your dainty sentiments never poison my ears again. The player receives "True Bromance Pt. 2" which is to "Make Lenny to do a Plant Shift" and "Make Carl to do a Plant Shift". It takes 16 hours. The player receives total 1,100 and 260 in reward. Carl, you got me my old job back! You are the truest of true pals -- it's times like these when I wish we could more than bro hug. I realized I needed you, Lenny. Standing next to you is the only way I look relatively attractive. I wish there was some disturbingly grandiose way to show my gratitude.
