- High Pants Times is a parody of High Times.[1]
- Lisa asking Grampa if the shoe tree brings him joy is a reference to Marie Kondo's tidying method of keeping those things that spark joy.
- Bart exclaims "Oh, my god, are you there? It's me Margaret." referencing Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret.
- Mrs. Peyton wears a Pulp Fiction shirt.
- Bart and Milhouse play a parody of Mortal Kombat using a controller similar to Xbox's.
- At Luigi's, the sign says "Like DoorDash but in a restaurant".
- Homer indirectly references Mark Davis mentioning weird people owning Las Vegas Raiders.

- The opening sequence starts during the episode, with Bart pranking people with the brain. A title screen with the title of the episode is also present.
- Sideshow Mel reveals that the bone in his hair is the femur of a kangaroo.
- Corbin Everly's brain was donated to Springfield University on June 23, 1975.
- The caption on the picture of Corbin Everly winning an accounting award has the initials "CPA" after his name which stands for Certified Public Accountant.
