- The episode title is a reference to 1989 movie Do the Right Thing.
- In class Milhouse reads a poem he wrote, "The Saga of the Oregon Trail".
- A banner at the Springfield Rock Skipping Championship says to try Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's "The Rock" Rock.
- Cletus has leeches on his feet which resemble the logo for Nike.
- Bart says that he cheated on COVID tests.
- Bart using a "butt buzzer" to cheat for Homer when he was playing poker is a reference to chess player Hans Niemann and the cheating allegations against him. A meme sprung up after the allegations which accused Niemann of cheating using vibrating anal beads.
- The song "Get Our Cheat On" mentions writing a term paper with ChatGPT as one of the various cheats.
- Homer says that he and Bart have a special bond, like LaVar and Lonzo Ball, or Cecil and Prince Fielder before they became estranged.
- The electric truck that was converted back to gas is based on the Tesla Cybertruck.
- "Trudge Rite Work Boots" is a parody of Stride Rite.
- Marge says that she didn't cheat to win Harley-Davidson beard shampoo.
- Dean Belichick says that the Houston Astros are dreaming up ways to cheat, a reference to the Houston Astros sign stealing scandal.

- The University of Springfield Summer Camp cheating is a reference to the Varsity Blues scandal where, among the allegations were bribing administrators to cheat on entrance exams, and bribing coaches and administrators to nominate unqualified applicants as elite recruited athletes. The initials of the University of Springfield Camp (USC) is a reference to the University of Southern California, which played a part in the Varsity Blues scandal.
- The University of Springfield Summer Camp has a prestigious Lance Armstrong scholarship. The armband that comes with it says "Cheat Armstrong", a reference to the Lance Armstrong doping case where Armstrong was found to be cheating in races by using performance-enhancing drugs.
- The Sam Bankman-Fried Hall is a reference to American entrepreneur Sam Bankman-Fried, who was convicted of fraud, conspiracy, and money laundering in November 2023.
- The Jim Harbaugh Center for Competitive Imbalance is a reference to American football coach and former quarterback, Jim Harbaugh.
