Frederick J. "Fred" Gardner III (born March 20, 1967) is an American Emmy Award winning former animator for The Simpsons. He served as a character layout artist, background designer, character/prop designer and main title animator. He worked under the supervision of Director, David Silverman. Frederick Gardner has several cameos in Season 2 and 3 and an incidental character, he designed Burn's dogs (Doberman Pinchers) and he completely animated the Itchy & Scratchy cartoon, "Sundae Bloody Sundae". He was an animator or several Butterfinger commercials, designed many of the original publicity stills and was commissioned by Michael Jackson to paint life size version of the Simposons family.
