Synopsis
- "A parenting disagreement between Marge and Luann Van Houten escalates into a life-or-death struggle for survival."
Plot
At the Museum of Anthropology, the Springfield Elementary School kids are watching a 4D documentary on dinousaurs. Marge has tagged along and is having trouble with people asking them to pick up toys, and distracts the children from their viewing, when Skinner interrupts her so the children could watch in peace, as she wonders then if the distant past has anything to do with them.
Time skips to 20,000 years ago, where the caveman Simpsons family are starving, so Marge go hunting, and hits a snake with a rock and takes it to the cave for the children to eat. Back to the present, Bart complains about there be nothing to eat at the museum, while having lots of food in front of him, with Marge pointing out there're children of the world starving.
Milhouse calls him out then, for his father got tickets for a Violencia Gigante concert. Bart asks her if she can go since he's responsible, before destroying a catapult with Milhouse. At home, Lisa suggests she listen to one of her song to decide, having her listen to the original and translated vulgar version, pointing out to Bart she did that to get back on him for mutilating her Malibu Stacy doll. Marge forbids him from going.
Bart then tries to convince Luann to convince Marge, but she refuses after what he convinced his son to do at the Museum. Back in the distant past, Marge saves Bart from an attacking wolf, and consoles him, and in the present Marge gets angry at what Luann said to him. Marge gets up and grabs Homer to go have a talk with the Van Houtens.
In the past, Grampa gives up his meal to his kids and walk toward the impending snow storm, while in the present Homer opens the door to him in the rain, shivering, to watch the kids. Marge and Luann get in a heated fight over the allegations she throws at Bart and storms out of the house, asking Homer to buy tickets for the concert for their son, as the fight was not over.
Back in the past, Marge sharpens a spear to hunt and Homer hunts down a deer through brambles. Back in the present Homer tries to buy tickets from various ticket sites. Prehistoric Homer continues the hunt scaling a mountain and finally conquers the deer, yelling, just for present Homer presenting Marge his victory, Front Row Club tickets, in the same manner. In the playground, Bart presents the other kids the alternative to Milhouse's gloating, and they accept, leaving his side.
At home, Lisa shows Marge how her primitive brain is prevailing, and calms her down with a candel (just to have it catch the curtains on fire by accident). At the school meeting, Luann motions for Marge to be removed from the board for bullying Milhouse. Just like prehistoric Marge did in the past to protect her children, in the present, Marge defends her self against the accusations. The two fight in both times, accusing one another of different things till almost getting in a direct fight. In the past, the wolf destroys the family home and the family mourn the loss and start to move to the mountains.
At the Naming Rights Still Available Arena parking lot, they meet Milhouse and Luann taking kindergartners with them at the concert. Meanwhile, in the past, the family keeps climbing the mountain. Marge arrives at the ticket boot, where Raphael refuses their ticket because they needed to use the app as ticket, but Homer deleted it too, including the app password, and finds out that Homer is with Kirk for their fantasy football draft, considering him a traitor and closes the call. In the past, the wolf reaches the family and launches Homer into a spike impaling him to death, instilling fear in the rest of the family. Marge, both in past and present, refuses to give in, and accelerate, one with the car, one with the spear, to their objective.
Prehistoric Marge manages to spear jump over the wolf to her kids, while present Marge barely avoids spike traps and manages to pass the guards, but both find an obstacle, a gap in the mountain and a high fence. In the past, she uses a big tree to cross, while in the present she tosses the kids over the fence and climbs it. To get past the ticket checks, she hides outside food in other people's purses and tells Squeaky-voiced teen about it, confusing them. In the past, the wolf awaits them at the entrance to the grotto, in the present, guards block the entrance.
In the present, she manages to pass using butter and the flash of the phone, but Bart points out what she become, a primitive looking scary woman, and tells her to take them home, not wanting to lose her only good parent. In the past, the wolf is hit by a rock fallen thanks to a thunder, but she manages to stop her anger and lift the rock from its foot and stitch it, and the wolf become like a pet.
At the end, Milhouse points out to Luann how he might be a bad influence but he's the only one he has, and Marge brings tickets to them saying how the front row wouldn't be the same without Bart's best friend. Marge and Luann hug and the prehistoric family had dinner in their new home, with Homer's head on a rock to remember him, with the wolf becoming like a dog to them, eating together.
