Plot
At the end of the school year, Lisa Simpson is handing out yearbooks. She becomes very disappointed when nobody wants to sign her yearbook, reminding her of her unpopular status among the student body. Later that day, Flanders makes a deal with Homer to watch over his beach house while he serves Jury Duty. The Simpson family moves out to the beach house, taking Milhouse along with them.
Seeing this as a chance for a new beginning, Lisa tells herself to abandon her old image, and search for a new persona. She gets a cool new look at the beach, and finds some skateboarding friends. Trying her best to fit in, she humiliates Bart by telling her new friends that he is a nerd. Bart becomes furiously jealous of the attention Lisa is getting, and attempts to ruin her friendships by showing them Lisa's "teacher's pet" reputation in her copy of the school yearbook.
Lisa and Bart fight with one another for the rest of their beach vacation (mostly only ending up as Milhouse's suffering). After returning from a beach carnival, Lisa discovers that her friends don't care about her image, and still like her for who she is. They leave her with the goodbye present of signing her empty yearbook, and decorating Homer's car with various seashells.
