Template:CollapsibleBox[edit]
For some reason, the color part of the template will not work. Do you know why? ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 06:59, 15 June 2013 (EDT)
- Try now. Two {s are a template. Three {s are for parameters. You only had two around color. Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 07:02, 15 June 2013 (EDT)

Decoding[edit]
Outerhaven has told me that he has given you the guide to decoding the images from the Tapped Out files. Would you be able to:
- Decode a colour image of the Hal Roach Apartments?
- Decode colour images of the Snowmen (non-melted)?
- Confirm if Hailstone's is in the game files and/or the sound files?
Thanks, ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 01:36, 4 July 2013 (EDT)
- It'll take time. I need to find the things first. Hailstone's is in the files, Cook has confirmed it. I'll try and find the others. Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 03:32, 4 July 2013 (EDT)
- I can't find the Hal Roach Apartments image anywhere... Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 04:07, 4 July 2013 (EDT)
Wiki History[edit]
This place moved from Wikia? I'm not surprised, a lot of wikis have done that. In fact, the only good wikis I know that haven't are the Final Fantasy and Elder Scrolls wikis... How long ago was this? - TidusTehSacrificer357 02:24, 8 July 2013 (EDT)

Crime Spree, Die Bart Die and Cuff 'Em Boys[edit]
Can you find the dialogue for these quests? The quests themselves were found in the game files in December last year. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 13:30, 13 July 2013 (EDT)
- All three are on User:Cook879/Game files at the moment - none have dialogue.--Cook879 16:52, 13 July 2013 (EDT)
Hi[edit]
Could you reply on the message I sent you? FatHomerTalk 16:19, 25 July 2013 (EDT)
- Oh, sorry. I did reply earlier but my Internet died shortly after I sent the reply, or so I thought. It mustn't have gotten through. The Solar Dragon 16:20, 25 July 2013 (EDT)
Uter Zorker image[edit]
Something's messed up with the image on Uter Zorker's article. At first I thought the issue was related to whether the umulauts were included in the file name, but on second glance the issue looks more complicated than that. -- Mythigator 13:28, 11 August 2013 (EDT)
- Yeah, it's not that. We had the same problem with the Richard Dean Anderson article and file earlier. Just emailed Jake about it again. Hopefully we won't have to keep emailing him every time we notice one of these and one change can stop it from happening... The Solar Dragon 13:30, 11 August 2013 (EDT)
- So it seems like the issue has to do with character encodings. Any files that had special characters in their names were not correctly encoded during the transfer to the new server. The solution to this is simply to re-upload the image. If anyone knows of any other images with special characters, please email me a list and I'll see to it that they're repaired. --Jake 22:11, 11 August 2013 (EDT)
Homer the Moe on Channel 4[edit]
Homer the Moe gets a lot of cuts on Channel 4. They cut out Homer's blood spurting out of his hand, him running for oxygen and swearing when he gets caught in the bear trap, as well as what the models say to Moe. Maybe you could add? Homer to the Max 18:07, 12 August 2013 (EDT)
Oh, and also the bit at the dinner table when Homer shoves it into Lisa's mouth. Homer to the Max 18:09, 12 August 2013 (EDT)

Hey[edit]
What does "auto-patrolled" mean? Homer to the Max 18:38, 12 August 2013 (EDT)
- Admins and rollbacks see a little exclamation mark next to non-autopatrolled users in recent changes. These exclamation marks show that the edit hasn't been checked. If a user is autopatrolled, it means that the user is trusted enough to not go about vandalising pages or making stupid edits. Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 18:41, 12 August 2013 (EDT)
Template:E[edit]

DVD boxset art[edit]
On my The Simpsons distribution in the UK and Ireland user page, I'm putting together a gallery of the DVD boxsets. Is there a way to have a second image related to the Complete First Season "column", so to speak, so that if a viewer presses "Alternate boxset art", the alternate boxset art shows up in the image's space? Do you get what I mean? ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 09:27, 26 August 2013 (EDT)
- I think I know what you mean. It would require JavaScript code to do so though. Do you know of anywhere that uses a system like that? If you can find one, I can look at the JavaScript and take it and hopefully get it working. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 10:14, 26 August 2013 (EDT)
- Er, I don't know anywhere that uses a system like that, but the Infosphere has a similar technique, you can see it on the "Robot Santa's Little Helpers" article. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 10:21, 26 August 2013 (EDT)
- Can you test to see what happens if you put an "image2" into the infobox now? Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 10:45, 26 August 2013 (EDT)
- I have absolutely no idea how to code it in. I'm baffled. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 11:11, 26 August 2013 (EDT)

MediaWiki Upgrade[edit]
Hey Solar. Just wanted to let you know that we've upgraded to the latest version of MediaWiki. I'm aware that some of the SocialProfile features are broken at the moment and I'm looking into it. Special:ReplaceText is also working again. Please let me know if you encounter any issues while using the site. Thanks! --Jake 22:03, August 28, 2013 (EDT)
DVD boxsets[edit]
Hi, just wondering whether we should re-name DVD boxsets past Season 10 "The ..... Season" and not "The Complete .... Season", because the former is listed on the DVD boxsets. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 12:19, August 29, 2013 (EDT)

Table and CollapsibleBox[edit]
Jake seems to be busy, so I'll ask you this. Why does the CollapsibleBox template not work alongside the Table template? I'm trying to collapse the tables on the Simpsons distribution page and I'm unable to because of this and because the "collapsible=yes" feature on the table no longer works. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 10:06, August 31, 2013 (EDT)
- Sorry to bother you, I didn't notice Jake had answered my question. Sorry again. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 10:09, August 31, 2013 (EDT)
Soccer[edit]
Would you help me make a page for Soccer? Seeing as Basketball and other sports have them. I'd do the appearances section, you could do the introduction-thingy. Homer to the Max (talk) 16:04, September 8, 2013 (EDT)
Blame It on Lisa[edit]
I don't remember soccer in Blame It on Lisa. Homer to the Max (talk) 16:09, September 9, 2013 (EDT)

Mexico vs. Portugal[edit]
Thank you for helping out with the page, but I don't think the soccer match Lisa watched on DVD in Marge Gamer was a World Cup match between Mexico and Portugal. I think it was just a generic soccer game. The Mexico-Portugal match was at the beginning of The Cartridge Family. The family went to the stadium and watched it. Homer to the Max (talk) 16:22, September 9, 2013 (EDT)
- I thought those two teams were in the DVD as well? Anyway, this is why references are needed. :P Oh, wait, Brazil played in the DVD match... that's where Blame It on Lisa came from! :P ☆The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.)☆ 16:23, September 9, 2013 (EDT)
- Thanks, I barely remember anything from that episode. I've remembered another soccer reference as well, in Missionary: Impossible. Homer to the Max (talk) 16:26, September 9, 2013 (EDT)

Thanksgiving[edit]
Could you help me create a page for Thanksgiving? Homer to the Max (talk) 17:05, September 20, 2013 (EDT)
- If you start it off, I'll try... although I can't remember much about Thanksgiving episodes as I'm English. :P The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 17:12, September 20, 2013 (EDT)
Special:Recent Changes[edit]
Not a good way to start our birthday off, is it? Just wondering whether asking Jake to put one of those captcha things on any page whenever a new or unregistered user edits it. What about you? ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 01:30, September 24, 2013 (EDT)
- Hello? I think this is now necessary because we are now getting multiple spam attacks during the night over here. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 01:10, September 25, 2013 (EDT)
- I believe all the accounts created very recently are spam accounts. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 12:39, September 25, 2013 (EDT)
- IP BLOCK NEEDED!!! Sorry for the shouting, but it is that urgent. Ale, Nick and I are all blocking those phantom accounts as they post spam, but there are too damn many of them to keep up with. -- Mythigator (talk) 08:46, September 27, 2013 (EDT)

- The best should be some email confirmation if you creating an account. /AleWi (talk) 09:10, September 27, 2013 (EDT)
- IP block is impossible. The IPs are all different. I'll do what I can but it might not be enough. I've emailed Jake asking him to do several things to help; more CAPTCHA questions, or a new CAPTCHA system should be put in place. A CAPTCHA for every non-autoconfirmed user and raise the autoconfirmed post level from 10 to at least 20 (some spambots are making 6+ edits now as well...) Stop non-autoconfirmed users from adding external links too. Just checked my emails and Jake has disabled account creation temporarily. Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 11:25, September 27, 2013 (EDT)
- Should we block all of the crap accounts pre-emptively, or wait for their various spambots to post and then block them? -- Mythigator (talk) 15:14, September 27, 2013 (EDT)

Editor meetings[edit]
We haven't had one for a while and I think it would be a good idea to raise some questions from the past few months. What do you think? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Phinbart (talk • contribs) 12:23, September 27, 2013
- It's probably best to keep these sort of things on the wiki. If you make a discussion in the forum space with things you want to discuss under different headers, feel free to do so. That way, people from other time zones can take part and hopefully, it won't just revert to a massive shouting match as later editor meetings did. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 12:29, September 27, 2013 (EDT)
Season 25 Countdown[edit]
Solar, as the Season 25 has started you should remove the Season 25 Countdown from the main page. / Loco87 (talk / contribs) 14:04, September 30, 2013 (EDT)

Golden Homer Award[edit]
Hey, Solar, as you're WikiHead, and everyone on the wiki seems to be lazy, including me, could you possibly, from now on, just decide the Golden Homer Award recipient, as well as other good users, yourself as it hasn't even been decided from last month yet and it has been happening too often? It's only logical... --Fred (Talk • Contribs. • Editcount) 06:26, October 2, 2013 (EDT)
Font color[edit]
For some reason, I can't use the <font-color="red"></font> in tables. Is this already possible or am I being completely stupid and doing the simplest thing wrong? ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 12:14, October 2, 2013 (EDT)
- There shouldn't be a dash between font and color. Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 12:16, October 2, 2013 (EDT)
- Tried that. Didn't work without the dash as well. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 12:51, October 2, 2013 (EDT)
Ode To Apologize[edit]
Hello! The article, "The Forgiveness Song", was renamed to "Ode to Apologize", as a parody to "Ode to Joy". Please, delete the article with the old name, because is a unnecesary and unused redirection.
An also, please re-upload a new version of this image with good HD quality like other Simpsons episode screenshots:

I removed "11. Crook and Ladder", because Crook and Ladder was in 4th place as well. Just trying to help him. Homer to the Max (talk) 07:44, October 28, 2013 (EDT)
- Please leave messages on your talk page if I left one there first. It's still against the rules and policy. You should have brought it up on the talk page of the page or on User talk:WebkinzMania. You shouldn't just edit pages in the userspace that aren't yours. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 08:01, October 28, 2013 (EDT)
Season 25 Introduction[edit]
Hi Solar, I've noticed that User:Barthony70099 has put on the introduction of the season 25 page "This season will most likely feature the last appearance of Edna Krabappel following the October 25 death of actress Marcia Wallace." and I saw that this sentence had been on the wikipedia's Season 25 page, but I think that now it's been removed. So, should the sentence be removed?(Because it's wikipedia content) / Loco87 (Talk / Contribs) 23:30, October 29, 2013 (EDT)
- I removed it for a different reason. Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure have made cameo appearances since being retired. Lunchlady Doris is also back in the show. She may make cameo appearances occasionally after her death (i.e. Alice Glick) or may get brought back in during a later season (i.e. Lunchlady Doris). - Yes, I noticed you broke the template, please play with it in your sandbox. :P The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 19:35, November 5, 2013 (EST)
- I thought this would be much more simple. All I'm doing is using a template to choose the season, but that breaks the link. My next attempt will probably be using {{{1}}} and {{{2}}} to add [[Season and ]] around the numbers. | | Talk | Contributions | Edit count |
Building pages[edit]
I have thinking and I consider we should have only one building pages but linking the task from every building to their own article at the wiki. The task from the Simpson home should be at 742 Evergreen Terrace and on the building pages only the main information. We must thinking about how the user can find the information easy and what do they want to know. /AleWi (talk) 14:42, November 10, 2013 (EST)
- No because there are several buildings in the game (Lincoln's Cabin, the generic houses, King Homer's Skyscraper etc.) that do not have articles. It is fine having them like this and it looks better in my opinion. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 14:50, November 10, 2013 (EST)
Movies...[edit]
Why did you remove the "name seen" films from the YOLO/Appearances article? I am struggling to understand... --Fred (Talk • Contribs. • Editcount) 00:40, November 12, 2013 (EST)
- Let me point you towards our notability policy. "Mentioned subjects that are not listed above should not get an article unless there is a fair amount of information given about them". The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 04:31, November 12, 2013 (EST)
- I understand... but I have seen more than one movie that has an article when it is only in a "name seen" appearance. --Fred (Talk • Contribs. • Editcount) 06:20, November 12, 2013 (EST)
- It depends on what the movie, Troy McClure movies and the most movies seeing at a theater having an article~. /AleWi (talk) 08:55, November 12, 2013 (EST)
- Those that are against the notability policy should be deleted. Simple as that. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 09:30, November 12, 2013 (EST)

Tab template[edit]
I seem to have been leaving a lot of messages lately.
Is it okay to change the Tab templates into one single template? I have the code at User:Randomno/sandbox, with User:Randomno/sandbox/Selected tab and [[[User:Randomno/sandbox/Unselected tab]] for the tabs. The thing is it would need a bot to replace TabR, TabA, etc. and change gags=yes to gags and quotes=no to noquotes.
Also, are we going to add an images tab sometime? We have the category pages.
| | Talk | Contributions | Edit count | 17:03, November 15, 2013 (EST)
- Do it tomorrow. I'll bot edit it all tomorrow. Have you sorted it for comics too? Also, it would be great if you could do a similar thing for the prevnext templates too, if you could figure that out. I'm just too busy now to do this sort of thing... The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 17:27, November 15, 2013 (EST)
- As you saw I messed around a bit with EpisodePrevNext. Comics use the same Tab templates, right?

How put in yellow the link of the user[edit]
Hi Solar Dragon! I want know, how put in yellow the link of the user, like this example:
And another thing[edit]
Please, delete the damaged image: File:Oh_Brother,_Where_Bart_Thou?_-_Bart's_blue_winter_ushanka.png|File:Oh_Brother,_Where_Bart_Thou?_-_Bart's_blue_winter_ushanka.png
The reason of the damage is a interrogation sign in the name of the image and a file can't have a interrogation sign.
And please, re-upload a new HD good quality version of this image, because the actual is in low quality:
- File:Oh_Brother,_Where_Bart_Thou_-_Bart's_blue_winter_ushanka.png|500px
I hope your answer. Greetings! --BTony70099 (talk) 21:08, November 15, 2013 (EST)
- 1) Please try and preview posts before you make them. I woke up to 12 emails, 11 notifying that you had made changes to my talk page. 2) Anyone can upload higher quality images. You just need to find the episode online and print screen the scene. The Solar Dragon 06:07, November 16, 2013 (EST)
Award revival and spotlight article?[edit]
I've just thought of a plan that could maybe revive some sort of award system here on Wikisimpsons: a quiz. Now, you're probably wondering what the hell I'm going on about, but I want your opinion first. We could introduce maybe a 20-question quiz, on obscure things in the show, like "What did Judge Constance Harm tell the guard to do after dogs ate Homer's driving license?", so users won't look up the answers and will have to watch the episode to get the answer. Then, whoever got all the questions right, or whoever was picked 'out of a hat' of users with all right answers, would win an award called "Quiz Master". I think, since a lot of users aren't bothering to vote in the Golden Homer much any more, this could be a fun and community-gathering way to win awards.
And another thing I think we could have is a spotlight article, like the Infosphere have. It could be on the main page and on the to-do list, and would point users to one of the articles that needs heavily editing. Two, I think, good ideas, but what do you think?
Oh, and by the way, I didn't want to put this on the Wiki discussion page, because I thought I should run it by you first.
Thanks, ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 13:48, November 16, 2013 (EST)
- An idea of a quiz is interesting but it isn't really wiki-related so I'm not sure how exactly it fits in. The Golden Homer has been unofficially retired now, I've removed the Featured User from the main page, but I'm not sure if a quiz will be the best replacement. As for the spotlight article, we tried that before, not sure if you remember. It was called "Featured cleanup". It failed. Miserably. No one helped at all. It was on the main page for a few months before we removed it. Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 09:21, November 23, 2013 (EST)
- How about...an award given to a user that has contributed the most (to be specific, one who has added the most information to a single article?) or an award given to a user that has contributed most information relating to the most-recent episode? And, have we had anything to do with the to-do list being on the main page before? ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 10:02, November 23, 2013 (EST)
Treehouse of Horror XXIII title cards of 2 segments[edit]
Hi Solar! Please, upload the images of the title cards of the segments "The Greatest Story Ever Holed" and "UNnormal Activity". "Bart & Homer's Excellent Adventure" already been uploaded. The segments is from the Season 24 episode Treehouse of Horror XXIII. In HD, in format .png and in 1280x720 please, i was going to download the episode to capture the title cards of the segments, but the video file is very heavy and my internet is slow (temporarily). Please Solar, do it for me, upload the title cards from the missing segments. --BTony70099 (talk) 14:54, November 19, 2013 (EST)
- I'm not the only user on the wiki. Also, you may have noticed my editing has gone down to just spam deletion. I'm very busy right now, I had a deadline for one assignment today, one more on Friday and I have a driving theory test on Thursday. Plus, I'll be without Internet over the weekend. The earliest I can even attempt this will be Monday. Even then, I'll have the credits from Labor Pains and The Kid is All Right to do. I'd suggest you ask someone else, my plate is too full. Shorten code[edit]
Hi, I'm planning on finish my User:FatHomer/Episode_Transcript_Listing but there's to much code on the page. Can you make a template so there's less code? I know that you're busy but whenever you got the time to do, it would be great if you would! (please correct my grammatical issues so I learn). FatHomerTalk 14:18, November 21, 2013 (EST)
- I tried, FatHomer, but for some reason the code I came up with wouldn't work. ~ Phinbart (talk • contribs) 10:12, November 23, 2013 (EST)
I don't see what exactly you mean by wanting less code. The table format is the smallest amount of code possible in a non-confusing way. There could be a way to allow me to use one template for a whole row of a table, but I tried that originally when designing the table code and it just messed up the entire table, stretching cells, leaving gaps between cells, leaving gaps at the end etc. Solar Dragon (Talk • Contribs.) 17:19, November 23, 2013 (EST)
- I was thinking of only using one line of code like Template:Eptable. FatHomerTalk 17:26, November 23, 2013 (EST)
- I can continue with the list tonight if you reply soon. I don't want too continue with the list if we can use shorter code and we have to do a new one. FatHomerTalk 17:35, November 23, 2013 (EST)
- Huh... I never would have thought of doing something like that, my mind is beyond thinking of simple things like that... *facepalm*. Since you have the Eptable code, why don't use just modify that into what you want to use. I'm too tired right now to do anything template-related. Title Case Style Question[edit]
Shouldn't it be "The Kid Is All Right", with a capital I on "Is"? A while ago we had a discussion on this topic, and I thought the consensus we arrived at was that even though "is" is a short word, it takes a capital in a title because it's not a preposition? Of course, if an official source for the episode's title has "is" in lower case, then that is how it should be regardless of stylistic preference. -- Mythigator (talk) 09:55, November 25, 2013 (EST)
- Hmm... A Star Is Burns has it capitalized. However, looking at FoxFlash, one of the pictures says "n the all-new "The Kid is All Right" episode of THE SIMPSONS", with "is" lowercase. What do you think about this? The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 11:56, November 25, 2013 (EST)
- With that, my inclination is to follow the official pattern, inconsistent though it may be. But it would be a good idea to have "The Kid Is All Right" (capitialised "Is") as a redirect so that grammatical purists can find the episode. :-) -- Mythigator (talk) 14:55, November 25, 2013 (EST)
- Yeah, probably best to do that. One of the videos on Fox's official YouTube channel calls it "The Kid is Alright", meaning there is another name out there too... The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 15:01, November 25, 2013 (EST)
