Play Information
|
The Passion Play is a dramatic recreation of Jesus Christ's crucifixion, performed by the people of Springfield.
History[edit]
Auditions were held in Springfield Playhouse by director Chazz Busby. Homer was cast as Jesus while Ned Flanders, who usually got that role, became a minor character.
The play was very popular, with many people being moved by Homer's performance as Jesus. The play ended in disaster though as Homer's cross fell over while he was on it and knocked Ned out.
