Krusty is millions in debt. When Bart suggests re-building Krustyland to make some of his money back, Krusty is reluctant due to its expense. Bart later convinces Krusty, who wants to ruin some of America's productivity by distracting people from work and school, and instructs the Sky-Finger to get to work. Upon visiting Krustyland, Krusty deceives Homer by telling him to clean up under the influence it's an attraction. Using the Krustyland Tickets Homer earned, the Krustyland Entrance is built. Krusty uses Homer again to build some paths so customers can find their way around easier. Krusty now realizes it's time for the important stuff, bringing in all the "Fat Dummies Deserving of What They Get", or customers, to play the rigged games, such as the Ring Toss Stall. Krusty instructs Homer to run it, but is too enveloped in trying to get the ring on to a prize, which is rigged so is impossible, and so hires Cletus to run it. Bart thinks the Death Drop, "the safest ride", according to Krusty, should be rebuilt, despite a lawsuit by five thousand hospitalised children and Lisa's pessimism about it. Bart, Milhouse and Lisa ride it, ending in exhilaration for Bart, "that's enough" for Lisa and Milhouse being sick. Homer then realizes that there's no more room to build, and decides to go back to his regular jobs, until Krusty points out there's a job for that - buy a Land Expansion.
Homer then complains all the work's making him hungry, and so he builds a Krustyland Burger, which serves "scraped, quotation-marks meat". Homer and Milhouse then eat at Krustyland Burger, Milhouse eating a Laffy Meal and Bart rides the Death Drop, in competition with Milhouse to see who barfs first. Bart complains to Krusty when Martin's having fun - if he's having fun, surely something must be wrong, and so the Knock Over the Fuzzy Guy stall is built to help Martin release some pent-up anger. Bart complains further, saying Krusty's lost his edge, and so he shows Bart what danger and risk really is...Sleeping Itchy's Castle. Krusty realizes the new Krustyland is safe and family-friendly, and that he will be the first clown in history to make people happy due to the theme park.
Homer finally realizes that the Ring Toss stall is rigged, and so Krusty, whose skin crawls at saying it, builds a NON-rigged attraction, Sideshow You. Comic Book Guy wishes to commemorate his visit by purchasing collectables, which the theme park has none of. When Krusty is told that he stands to profit from this lucrative scheme, he builds the Gift Shop. But before Krusty can get a word in edgeways to Comic Book Guy to offer a highly-paid job, he proclaims he's going shopping. Krusty then complains about the mess the visitors are making, and Lisa suggests garbage cans, and building a recycling station. Worried at the expense, Krusty sticks with the garbage cans. Chief Wiggum then arrives at Krustyland to inspect the rides, and to expect a huge bribe from Krusty, who is confounded to consider his own theme park legal. Wiggum is disappointed, so Krusty fake-bribes him with some Tickets. And so, Wiggum spends time at Krustyland Burger and also takes part in a sing-along. Comic Book Guy mentions that Krusty's rides are dated, as they move too much, and suggests a simulator ride with a movie tie-in, with a dubious Krusty. Comic Book Guy then 'boards' the ride, only to find children, Bart and Milhouse wanting to ride it too, to his annoyance. Comic Book Guy notices another theme park omission - mascots - which Krusty gets on loan from the prison.
