At the Awards, several Springfielders are presented and take photos of on the carpet. Duffman is presenting the show, presenting the Duff Lite, followed by Quimby sponsoring the Springfield Academy Museum, and then Duffman presents a memoriam for Hans Moleman, which is actually still alive (despite his previous multiple decipted deaths). Ned Flanders is then awarded the Springfield's Nicest Person Award.
Next, the Best Sailboat Painting awards goes to Sideshow Mel, the same painting the Simpson family has, and Mel tells them that he won because the one they have is askew.
