"Habeas Tortoise" is the first episode of season 33 of The Simpsons and the seven-hundred and twenty-ninth episode overall. It originally aired on September 25, 2022. The episode was written by Broti Gupta and directed by Matthew Faughnan. It guest stars Joe Mantegna as Fat Tony.
Synopsis
- "After public humiliation forces him to doubt his own intelligence, Homer forms an internet group devoted to solving the mystery behind the disappearance of a tortoise from the Springfield Zoo but finds something much more sinister."
