Homer Simpson Conducts Conan’s TBS Exit Interview is a special short that was uploaded to YouTube on June 24, 2021. The short was made to celebrate Conan O'Brien's talk show, Conan, ending.

Plot

Conan O'Brien receives a phone call from Sona Movsesian who says that there's a man from TBS who had just arrived to do Conan's exit interview. Homer Simpson then walks in and says that he's looking for a big star of TBS. Homer mistakes Conan for one of the Impractical Jokers and laughs about a time when Homer though Conan and Sal from Impractical Jokers blew up a toilet, which ended with a guy in a wheelchair. Conan then corrects Homer, saying that he's a talk show host.

Conan questions Homer why he's working in HR, because he thought that Homer worked at a nuclear power plant. Homer then tells Conan that over the years, he's had many jobs, one of them being a monorail conductor. Homer then tells Conan that it was a stupid idea. Conan gets embarrassed, saying that he thought it was a nifty idea. Conan then moves Homer on to do the exit interview. Homer asks Conan if he's proud of the work he's done on the show, and Conan says that he is. Conan then asks Homer what his favorite moment of the show was, and Homer describes an event that happens in nearly all the shows.

Homer then asks Conan what his co-workers would describe him as. Conan says "fair, honest, and endlessly creative." Homer then says that Conan's supposed to use one word or less, so Conan says "Irish". Homer says that Conan doesn't look Irish to him. Homer then says that he better get a pencil and write everything down. Conan then tells Homer that he's got something to show Homer that nobody has ever seen before, and removes his wig to show that he has hair like Homer's. Homer gets happy and tells Conan that he's beautiful and the two hug. Conan tells Homer that he means the world to him, and Homer tells Conan that he means the world to him too, but calls him "Conrad". When Conan corrects Homer, Homer tells Conan that "Conan" isn't a real name.

Behind the Laughter

David Silverman directed and storyboarded the short.[1]
