Plot

The Simpson family, Patty and Selma arrive at the Springfield Train Station, and Marge and Lisa fight to get through the entrance door, which Bart tells the sisters they've been doing for some time. Homer tells how Marge pointed out they should send Lisa to Capital City with Patty and Selma for the weekend. After giving her a snack and a juice, Lisa departs with them and arrive at the city.

The first stop they go to is the Laramie Cigarettes Smokehouse Grill where Patty and Selma eat till they are full and are ironically denied smoking inside. When they go outside to smoke, they meet Julian, an old friend of Patty, and his artist friends, which after some exchange invite Lisa to their party, but Patty and Selma refuse to take her, before succumbing to a stomach ache and go to their hotel just to vomit out their lunch.

Julian texts them they're outside the hotel and Lisa sneaks out to join them. They arrive at Nohosogoblojoto, and the party is full of artists, with Lisa feeling like she's home. They then have to take everything at the Museum of Loft-Based Transgressive Progressivism, so Lisa starts to help and is denied help from The Inhuman Capotes. Once they arrive at the museum and have deposited everything, they invite Lisa to the next event at 1am, and she agrees, leaving Patty and Selma to sleep.

Before meeting them, Lisa meets Chalmers, having a night with Lunchlady Dora at a nearby hotel. They went on to watch the Roach play at a theater and Lisa interrupts it when the father kept throwing apples at the son transformed into a cockroach. The writer, Tracy Letts appears, congratulating Lisa for what she did in changing the story. For that, they propose her to enter the Horace Frick Academy, but Lisa doesn't have the money to pay for it, but Julian proposes to ask Lacey Van Aster to help her, and at her home she agrees.

Just when she was getting in bed she notice a picture of them with Martin Prince and then they enter her room to tell her that it was just a scam to get the money from Lacey, just like they did with Martin, and to avoid being reported to the police they show her that they sent the artists in town the video of her "stealing" a piece of art, instead of just moving it. She however manages to escape them with the check.

A crowd of artists follow her to the museum where they created various painting and art of her being a thief and she manages to reach an alley and call her family at home, but they don't answer as they're watching a documentary on ringtones, but she meets Chalmers which is meeting Ms. Hoover this time and they help her hide in their room. She starts telling them what happened when Dora storms the room after finding out the other date. Chalmers escape from the window, get on a rent bike and ride it in the lake, leaving Lisa in trouble again.

She starts running again from them but manages to hide near a wall. Tired of running, she throws the bag on the ground just to have the juice box falling out of it. She drinks it to refresh herself, and Marge at home feels what she did. She insults them and runs away and then morning comes, but they reach her at the park where the parade was going to be that day. She hides beneath a balloon but she hits the inflate machine by mistakes and gets found, but when Julian insults Katya when she points out Lisa ripped out the check, she cuts the rope holding the balloon, setting her free.

She rides her back to Springfield, while she talks to her, an hallucination from not sleeping for 24 hours. Having arrived at the school, she gets in, saluting Martin with the hat they gave her, and meets Chalmers, still in the middle of his issue with the woman he slept with. In the end, in class, Ms. Hoover have Lisa and her classmates read from the book The Firecracker Who Didn't Want to Go Boom.
