- I like it. We've had quotes and nominations aplenty showing Homer's dumbness; now we've got one showing his gluttony. -- Mythigator 10:23, 15 September 2012 (EDT)

- Neutral, only because I don't think the quote is quite as effective without the context. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 20:27, 3 September 2012 (EDT)

- Too long to work as a featured quote, no matter how you slice it. -- Mythigator 20:41, 14 September 2012 (EDT)

- If this gets featured, I'll think of a way to make it not so long, probably make a new quote template to put the speaker on the same line as the quote. The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 16:32, 4 September 2012 (EDT)

- Good quote, and works well with just the dialogue. It doesn't need the [commentary inside the square brackets] to be funny or to make sense. -- Mythigator 10:19, 15 September 2012 (EDT)

I wasn't sure wether or not to keep Bart and Lisa's lines. They aren't really necessary for the joke, but they kinda estalish more context. I dunno.I think this fixes it ok. --Nick97 (talk ~ contribs) 00:41, 13 September 2012 (EDT)- I think it would work fine if you started it with "It took the children forty minutes ..." -- Mythigator 20:40, 14 September 2012 (EDT)
