The Denver Broncos are an American Football team.
History
Homer watched Smooth Jimmy Apollo while he talked about the day's game between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots. He told the viewers that was too close to call, but if you are one of those compulsive types that just has to bet, he said you should bet on Denver. Homer then phoned Moe and asked him to bet $20 for him on Denver. During the game, when there were 13 seconds left, New England seven points and Denver nothing. Homer became mad at the announcer, when Lisa came in the room. Homer told her at he can't hear the announcer. Lisa answered that Denver fumbled.[1]
When the Simpson family was given a new identity Homer wanted to be John Elway and he started dreaming that he did a touchdown in Super Bowl XXX so the game ended Denver 7, San Francisco 56.[2]
Homer was given the Denver Broncos after working for Globex Corp. in Cypress Creek. Hank Scorpio gave the team to as gift for helping with his evil plans, though Homer was somewhat annoyed that he didn't get the Dallas Cowboys like he wanted. They are first seen assembled in the Simpsons' front yard, practicing. The team is seen as being quite uncoordinated, however, dropping passes among others.[3] Homer lost the team after he used it to pay his debt at Moe's Tavern.[4]
