History[edit]

Homer watched Smooth Jimmy Apollo while he talked about the day's game between the Denver Broncos and the New England Patriots. He told the viewers that was too close to call, but if you are one of those compulsive types that just has to bet, he said you should bet on Denver. Homer then phoned Moe and asked him to bet $20 for him on Denver. During the game, when there were 13 seconds left, New England seven points and Denver nothing. Homer became mad at the announcer, when Lisa came in the room. Homer told her at he can't hear the announcer. Lisa answered that Denver fumbled.[1]

When Marge visited Steffan August he was watching a fotball game. In the game the Patriots were deep into Redskin territory. He said that this was genocide rather than entertainment, and started to sob.[2]
