Synopsis
- "The Simpsons are trapped on a flight with the most unruly passengers in America."
Plot
At the United States Capitol, at the joint committee on terrible events, Marge is testifying in a process for the events of March 12. On a trip to Pile Ridge, Louisiana, for the Bouvier family boucherie, Lisa's lentil soup spilled all inside the luggage. Lisa points out how she took it to eat something else over the meal they are going to eat. Scrolling through the pictures on Facelook, Homer gets annoyed at the picture of Patty and selma, and the judge points it out at him. Homer gets angry at the waiting room seats are full of people and their luggage, and the lactaction pod having Patty and Selma inside. Homer gets almost run over by Sideshow Mel and Krusty when they're called for boarding Active-duty TV clowns.
They're told next that the flight is overbooked and they're no longer seat together, and Homer demands to speak to Sully Sullenberger, and Marge shuts him up before he gets them banned, as he's on the no fly list of all other airlines. As a good news, a spot is free on first class and Margee snaps it from the attendant, Joel's hands, as she boards the plane she joins the class, leaving the rest of the family to second class. She gets all the good treatment while the rest of the family have to endure a less confortable flight.
The wingman starts making annoying jokes on the intercom, and Bart complains about it, while playing on his Funtendo Glitch and tablet, which Maggie wants to take, but Lisa takes her away from it, showing her some Jazz flashcards. A woman next to Homer starts going crazy and is taken away, just as Homer was getting more comfortable, another passenger takes her place and films him giving a D'oh moan that becomes viral on TikTok. Noticing more annoying people he texts Marge saying he's trying to hold it together but the plane is full of the worst flyers in the world.
In court, the Convenience Airways representative tells the jury how they fly the obnoxious people, the No Fly List, people banned from other companies, and it was their inaugural flight, and shows how even Homer is one of them, with pictures from previous flights, including choking a guy with a seat belt extender. However Homer points out he promised Marge he'd behave and how it was torture on that flight.
Homer was watching a horror movie on Comic Book Guy screen since his was covered by Cameron Poe's hair. After eating, he uses a small fan and smears Homer's face with dust from it. When Homer points out what happened to Joel, Comic Book Guy disappears, while the other passenger starts a bathroom sink shrimp scampi challenge, so Homer asks Marge some words of comfort via text, but Marge is sleeping and ignoring the text. However in first class, a bottle of Chekhov's Gin is leaking in Krusty's mouth.
Meanwhile, the batteries on Bart's devices are all dead and he starts playing with the call button and when Joel starts making more jokes he points out how lame they are, while Lisa is still showing Maggie her flashcards and Maggie starts crying, annoying the other passengers, when the Joel annonces its time for the beverage and snack service, but when he insults Bart's young age and jokes, Bart takes the intercom, and starts making joke on him over it, even taking it to the lavatory. Joel however uses a pin on his clothes to ask for intervention and a hollow crash is heard in it.
Homer is having trouble making Maggie stop crying and takes her on a walk, and Lisa's suggestion to play the sax only makes it worse. Homer doesn't want to disturb Marge so he stops her into getting in first class, where a drunk Krusty and Drederick Tatum get into a fight over a lost bet. Homer goes back into the aisle where a family defends him from an angry passenger, this makes him happy until they start potty training their kid in-aisle, which calms Maggie but has her fill her diaper.
Homer asks if Lisa has the diaper bag, but she doesn't so he goes to first class to ask Marge, where he witnesses the fight, but finds the bag, asking Maggie to crawl through the fight to reach it. The fight continues with Drederick taking Sideshow Mel's bone to attack Krusty, but Maggie successfully reaches for the bag. Going for the lavatory, he finds the passenger next to him in one cooking, Patty and Selma in another using a fire estinguisher to remove the no smoking sticker, and Miss Hoover and other two joining the Mile-High Book Club, and then pushes by mistake another flight attendant, sending the snack cart all over the aisle, starting chaos over the passengers.
They find an empty lavatory but when they get out, the aisle is a complete dumpster and all passenger have disappeared. When Homer demands to know where all the other passengers are, the flight attendant activates a trap door and traps him with the other people down in an in-flight prison, leaving Maggie alone, as Lisa is trapped too. Lisa wonders who conjured such a prison, and in court, Mr. Burns answers it's BurnsCo, and on request to how they told the passengers of such possibility, they answer it was shown in the safety video, which plays right after.
In the prison, they start spraying people that started acting more crazy and they start a riot to bust out of it. Homer texts Marge to inform her of the situation, just as Maggie arrives at her bed, grabbing the phone and answering him on her behalf, with him interpreting her emojis as to stop whining and to be a man. Homer makes the others reason and they're freed to return to their seats. As they were approaching landing, the flight attendant woke Marge up, with her realizing she slept all through it. Back at the court, Ms. Clark proposes their system to be used all across the airline industry. When Marge disagrees on the method, she is trap doored down.
