Maggie Simpson in: The Longest Daycare (Spanish: Maggie Simpson En: Largo Día En La Guardería) is an upcoming animated 3D short film starring Maggie Simpson. The short will air on July 13, 2012 onwards, before Ice Age: Continental Drift in theaters. A 2D animatic version will be screened at San Diego Comic-Con International during July 2012.[1]
Summary
Maggie returns to the Ayn Rand School for Tots where her only friend there is a butterfly. Each baby is put through a security gate and when Maggie goes through, it says "Nothing Special". Maggie is then put in an area of the daycare that isn't great. Baby Gerald, Maggie's arch-nemesis, will make an appearance.[1]

The producers decided to focus the short on Maggie as it is hard to make a 20 minute Maggie episode, but easy to make a 4-5 minute short. James Brooks came up with the idea of doing a short, similar to the Pixar shorts. The short is dialogue-free.[1]
