Synopsis[edit]
- "Homer leads an ever-diminishing group of survivors in their quest to stay alive against a marauding horde of cannibalistic zombies!"
Plot[edit]
Mayor Homer has come back from the hunting party. The good news is that he has brought food to the residents of Springfield, the bad news is that they lost the Rich Texan. Marge is worried and asks Ned to talk with Homer, because they can't continue to lose people in the raids. Ned agrees to talk to Homer, and asks him if it is really safe to stay in Springfield when the neighboring town has been evacuated and the people of Ogdenville have become cannibals. Ned convinces Homer that as of tomorrow, they will make fewer dangerous raids. The next day, Homer comes back from a raid empty-handed after visiting the Duff Brewery, where The Seven Duffs have turned into zombies and Bumblebee Man, Disco Stu, Sideshow Mel, and Dr. Hibbert are left dead. That night, Ned visits the Simpson house and discovers that Homer has several beer cans in the house, and he starts to wonder if Homer lied. Homer is awake and discovers Ned, and together they go off on their own raid. They visit the churchyard, where Ned talks to Homer about how they are different from the zombies. He can't come up with an answer, so Ned explains to him that the undead can't change. He tries to get Homer to realize that he has become obssed with power instead of donuts and beer. Then the zombies rise and go after Ned and Homer. Ned escapes, but Homer gets caught by Frank Grimes. Ned tells the people of Springfield that it is too dangerous to stay, and they have to move and build something new. Everyone in Springfield follows Ned while they leave Springfield, while Maude and Edna look down on them from the sky.
