- The episode title is a reference to the book Through the Looking-Glass and the Troy McClure film Alice's Adventures Through the Windshield Glass.
- Homer has a lookalike of a Nintendo Switch in his car.
- When Homer starts swimming towards the tree, Goobie-Woo calls him "Michael Phelps".
