Carnival of the Stars was broadcast as a live event from the island Molokai in Hawaii. Homer watched the show at Moe's Tavern while Lisa and Bart watched it in their own home. In the episode they watched, Angela Lansbury walked on hot coals and Krusty was seen trying to do tricks with several white tigers. While Lansbury had some success at firewalking, Krusty's tiger-taming act failed disastrously as the tigers attacked him.
