History

The television special Carnival of the Stars, hosted by Troy McClure, was broadcast live from the island of Molokai.

Bart and Homer once ended up at the Molokai Leper Colony in Hawaii after Lisa tricked them into believing they had contracted leprosy as a result of not cleaning up the house while Marge was in the hospital.
