Good-Time Slim, Uncle Doobie, and the Great "Frisco Freak-Out" is a 1971 film set in San Francisco and starring Troy McClure.

Homer was watching the movie late at night rebroadcasted on TV on Thou$and Dollar Movie.
The film followed two hippie drifters as they fled across San Francisco in a brightly colored Volkswagen Beetle while pursued by police after becoming involved in a stolen diamond scheme. Several scenes prominently featured the Golden Gate Bridge and the downtown skyline, although viewers later noted numerous geographical inconsistencies in the film’s depiction of the city.
