Cultural references

• The opening sequence is a reference to the video game Minecraft.
• The scene where Moe is smiling and a rat with an antler tied to it's head appears references How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
• The Author for the book "Drinking Games For Advanced Alcoholics" prisoner number is SABF12 which is the production number for this episode.
• The rhyme Skinner says when chasing Bart "Skate, skate as fast as you can. But I'll catch you, I'm the principal man", is a reference to the Gingerbread Man.
• Lucas mention Takeru Kobayashi, the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest competitor. He mentions Kobayashi's record as 69, which he obtained unofficially.
