• It's a parody of the 2019 South Korean film Parasite.
• The title of the Itchy and Scratchy episode is a reference to Snowpiercer.

Nightmare on Elm Tree

• It's a parody of the film A Nightmare on Elm Street.
• "Guardians of the Galaxy" is shown at the drive-in and Groot appears on the screen.
• The walking tree mentions the Dutch elm disease.
