Fuzzy Bunny's Guide to You Know What is an educational video shown to Bart's class to teach them about sex.
Synopsis[edit]
The video was narrated by Troy McClure and told the story of teenage rabbit Fuzzy Bunny going through the changes of puberty, meeting a girl rabbit, Fluffy Bunny, and discovering they were attracted to each other. Then it told about Fuzzy and Fluffy dating (engaging in "wholesome activities" such as bowling and target shooting), getting married, having a honeymoon night (which included a sex scene), and eventually having children. The movie made a point of emphasizing that through it all, Fuzzy and Fluffy never spoiled their fun by "giving in to their throbbing biological urges" before the wedding. The video ended with McClure saying, "And now that you know how it's done .. don't do it."Description[edit]
Fuzzy Bunny's Guide to You Know What bears a copyright date of 1971. Its '70s origins are further portrayed by the musical score and the fashions that the characters (and narrator Troy McClure) are wearing. Also, despite claiming to present the facts of sex in a "frank and straightforward manner," it still approaches the topic in a somewhat coy fashion—until the video plays a full-on sex scene (shown off screen for obvious reasons).
Reactions[edit]
In sharp contrast to the rest of the video, the sex scene was so frank that it shocked the students. Mrs. Krabappel, however, simply said, "She's faking it", in a bored and blasé manner. Bart Simpson also found the film to be boring, while Milhouse Van Houten and his new girlfriend Samantha Stanky made eyes at each other as Fuzzy's and Fluffy's on-screen courtship progressed.
After the film was over, Mrs. Krabappel asked if the class had any questions. Nelson Muntz asked why she and Mr. Krabappel didn't live together. Mrs. Krabappel angrily replied, "Because Mr. Krabappel chased something small and fluffy down a rabbit hole", referring to her ex-husband's leaving her for another woman. Samantha then asked, "How do we know when we fall in love?" as she and Milhouse gazed dreamily at each other. Mrs. Krabappel, evidently unaware of the budding romance and still on a cynical streak, drily replied, "Oh, don't you worry. Most of you will never fall in love and marry out of fear of dying alone."
