- When feeding Maggie, Moe says "here comes Sonny to the tollbooth," referencing Sonny Corleone from The Godfather, who was killed at a tollbooth.
- Moe remembers when he went caroling at Evergreen Terrace and sung the incorrect lyrics to the Christmas carol "Silent Night" by Franz Xaver Gruber.
- When Gil falls down the stairs, presumably dead, Apu says that it's just like an episode of Monk.
Trivia[edit]
- Baby Gerald's mother appears at the mansion and, as usual, looks completely different from every other appearance.
- Ned Flanders, Sideshow Mel, Dr. Hibbert, Apu, and Gerald's mother are all the people who were apparently mentioned in the will.
- Out of all of them, Dr. Hibbert is the only one whose relation to the deceased is ever explained; he was the man's physician.
