The League of Extraordinary Barts! is a Simpsons Super Spectacular comic story first printed in Simpsons Super Spectacular #2.

Synopsis[edit]

"Bartman, Stretch Dude, and Cupcake Kid from three different dimensions team up to defeat the evil King Bart in his home dimension."

Plot[edit]

In one Springfield, Bartman and Houseboy break into the Fat-Cave to defeat Fat Tony. At the same time, Stretch Dude, Clobber Girl, and Bouncing Battle Baby are fighting against Third Degree Burns in another Springfield. And in a third Springfield, Cupcake Kid complains about Pie Man eating all the pies they were going to use to stop crime. As these three events were happening, Bartman, Stretch Dude, and Cupcake Kid are taken from their respective universes and end up in a universe where Springfield is destroyed. After a brief fight, the three of them realize that they've just been brought from their universes to another one, just like in the issue of Radioactive Man #502, "Last Call at the Parallel Bar". After this realization, Sideshow Bob speaks to them.

After a brief fight with Sideshow Bob, Bob explains that he is a freedom fighter in his world, fighting back against an evil tyrant, King Bart. After he explains this, Jimbo, Dolph, and Kearney arrive and disintegrate Bob. The three Barts fight back against the bullies and defeat them. They then take the bullies outfits as disguises and go to Evil Bart's Castle. When they reach the door, Comic Book Guy demands the password, which Bartman guesses as "Cowabunga". The three of them then enter the throne room where King Bart has Principal Skinner in a slave bikini and makes him sing for him. The three Barts then reveal themselves, only to be trapped in a forcefield. King Bart then reveals that he recognized them immediately and he ended up ruling his world by using Professor Frink's inventions, getting his cooperation by taking Frink's favorite lab monkey, Mr. Bananas, hostage. He also reveals that he turned his family into birds.

King Bart tells the other Barts that they can either run out of air in the forcefield or join him. Cupcake Kid accepts his offer and is taken on a tour of the castle. Bartman and Stretch Dude lament about Cupcake Kid betraying them until Bartman finds a cupcake that says "It's a diversion dummies!" on it. As King Bart continues to show Cupcake Kid around the castle, Stretch Dude transforms into a monkey to trick Professor Frink into letting them out of the forcefield. They then search the castle and find the real Mr. Bananas as Cupcake Kid fights back against King Bart. Upon being reunited with his monkey, Frink transforms the Simpsons back to their human selves and King Bart gets told off by Marge. Bartman then tells the slaves that they are free, only for them to decide to storm and loot the castle. Professor Frink then tells the Barts that they'll go back to their dimensions in thirty seconds and they vow to team up again if there's another interdimensional threat as the League of Extraordinary Barts. Lisa asks if there's a League of Extraordinary Lisas, which causes all the Barts to laugh as they go back to their universes. As Lisa goes back to the bird cage, the slaves storm the castle.
