The Simpsons: Tapped Out Thanksgiving 2014 content update was released on November 20, 2014, file-named "v4_11_Thanksgiving2014_Patch1_PreLaunch". It was 13.7MB. This update included the "Heimlich Machine", one frame of the animation of which, now altered, was found in the Halloween 2014 event.
The "Thanksgiving" menu in the store is unlocked after completing the "myPad" quest and starting the "Thanksgiving Season 2014" quest. Its description states, "Thanksgiving has landed! For a limited time, get all the Thanksgiving items here!". The event ends at 8am GMT on November 25, 2014.
