Synopsis
- "Marge and Smithers team up to become wine-forging Robin Hoods."
Plot
Smithers is doing lackey tasks with Mr. Burns, including duck hunting, where Burns shoots a shot but he throws down pre-killed ones, evicting the Springfield Children's Hospital, and transforming it into a chandelier storage, restocking organs, taking out the trash, with a plane, and melting Iceland. To celebrate the completed to-do list, they take a swing at a bottle of 1945 Bordeaux.
At the plant itself, everyone runs off after Lenny catches on Smithers coming to the rest room to take someone for extra work, but Homer is late to cook his taquito. He takes him to the port where a safe arrives with a special Gevrey-Chambertin inside, once owned by Napoleon Bonaparte, bought by Mr. Burns. He needs Homer to ride with it as a human airbag. Smithers gets called on the phone by Burns and needs to leave him alone, so Homer can bring it to Mr. Burns' mansion.
When he gets distracted to check the best route however, the bottle gets snatched by Mrs. Vanderbilt to christen The Upper Decker. She fails to break it, since it hits Homer instead and the bottle rolls on the ground, and keeps rolling during a marriage, then to a swingers party, where they use it for the Spin the bottle game. Homer recovers it but trips on a rock and it almost gets shot by Dubya and the other Spuckler kids at Cletus's farm. Homer gets shot in the back instead.
Arriving at home, he hides the bottle in a safe. At dinner, Homer eats Marge's good soup but asks what ingredients she used to make it so good and she informs him he used a bottle of wine she found, Mr. Burns'. Homer finds out that his bowling ball was really placed in the safe to cover a hole he made when the Major League Baseball added the pitch clock. Smithers arrives and they confess what happened, but Homer proposes to do what he always do, covering it up.
Since Mr. Burns will pour the wine to some of the most wine conneisseurs in the world, so Lisa remembers them it's just chemistry, and thus they just need to find someone that knows the chemistry of alcohol. After failing with Moe, they go to Professor Frink, who creates a replica of it and at the meeting it actually worked. At home, Marge proposes Smithers to be become wine-forging Robin Hoods by selling fake wine to the rich to give to the poor.
A segment follows where they, as Robin Hood and Maid Marian, steal money from Prince John, then at the Gavelby's Auction House, they auction a bottle of the fake wine. The auction is successful but they get arrested for wine forgery and get taken to the Alca-Shiraz Wine Jail. Worried about the kids, Marge calls Homer, who was at Moe's, and warns him of her condition. The next day, they get taken to the Springfield Wine Court, where she confesses.
Homer is at home, cleaning up the plates, and tells with a song where Marge is to Bart and Lisa who ask him to cover it up, but he refuses. The judge, however, declares the wine as real, to the shock of everyone, but Burns appears revealing he bribed the judge, that was alerted by Homer. Their deed however didn't end there, as Marge stole the $2 milion check, and reopened the Children's hospital, now renamed "Mount Remorse Children's Hospital", parachute art teachers all over the Unites States and free live ducks in nature, before one last scene in Sherwood where they dance while drinking their Vino. In the end a scene in the Wine Jail is seen, where Marge and Smithers get shown more criminals, including César and Ugolin.
