Cultural references
- The episode title is a reference to Discovery reality series Naked and Afraid.
- The movie at the beginning is a parody of The Thin Man, with Mick and Moira being a parody of Nick and Nora Charles. Aster is a parody of Asta the dog.
- The Golden Gimlet is named after the Gimlet cocktail, which Mick and Moira drink.
- Love It or Lift It is a reference to the TV show Love It or List It.
- The name of the bug spray, Ant-pocalypse Now, is a reference to the film Apocalypse Now.
- Bart's parent policy of "don't look, don't care" is a reference to the USA military policy of "don't ask, don't tell".
- Lisa refers to Homer and Marge as "Captain and Mrs. Underpants", a reference to Captain Underpants.
