The Simpsons: Tapped Out The Homer content update was released on March 11, 2015, file-named "4_13_The Homer", adding a new decoration in the game.

After tapping on Gil's icon on March 11: Powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf Ball. This car'll get ya anywhere you want to go! No way! Yes way! Also, it was designed by a former mental patient! And believe me, it shows!

After tapping on Homer's exclamation mark: Hey Lisa, what moron would put me in charge of designing a car? Your brother. I figured it would have to be someone related to me. Also, I have a brother? Yes! Well, half brother. His name was Herb, and he let you design your dream car... which subsequently drove him into financial ruin. Doesn't ring a bell. That's a horrible thing to forget! What if I told you I forgot about Bart? Who? Just call your brother. Task: Make Homer Give Herb a Call (1h, Simpson Home) Yello? Hey, Herbie. It's your illegitimate half brother, Homer Simpson. Sorry we lost touch, buddy. It's been over twenty years since you called, so your apology really changes everything. You sound just like Marge when she accepts my apologies. Quest reward: 100 and 10

Nostalgia and Kitsch

This questline is not active yet. It'll be released once Herb Powell and Powell Motors will be released. It'll be a sidequest to the Herb Powell's questline if you bought The Homer.

About that stupid, life-ruining car?! Yeah, why? Look, Homer. I've been going to therapy for my anger, so I'm gonna try to keep my cool right now. So you'll put me in charge of the rebranding? Ahhhhhh!!!!! Task: Make Herb Destroy his Office in a Tantrum (20h, Powell Motors) Whoah! Check out that rad looking drive! Looks like a wheel I could get behind. People like the car? Hmmmm Quest reward: 100 and 10 Nostalgia and Kitsch Pt. 2 After tapping on Herb Powell's exclamation mark: You know Homer, after trashing my office in a fit of unmitigated rage, I had a thought on the car. Are you going to make it freemium? I hear it's a guaranteed way to make billions! People are always willing to pay huge amounts of money for nostalgic garbage like this! But we're not even going to market it as a car. This stupid thing is a status symbol! For the tenaciously hip of 2015? That's right. But to appeal to them, it needs to be a hybrid! Good idea. Who doesn't love a good transformer? I know I do. I love transformers. Stupid idea Homer! Let's do it! Task: Make Herb Market the Homer (12h, Powell Motors) Quest reward: 100 and 10 Nostalgia and Kitsch Pt. 3 After tapping on Herb Powell's exclamation mark: Homer! I successfully licensed out the car design to Komatsu Motors for a cold 80 million! That's great? Homer, I'm so happy! As a token of appreciation, I want to bank your next great idea. We're going to be rich! I think I've still got some great ideas in me. It's that or gas. Task: Make Homer Invent Something New (12h, Moe's Tavern) Quest reward: 100 and 10 Nostalgia and Kitsch Pt. 4 After tapping on Homer's exclamation mark: Herb, I've got my prototype prepared. Really? Already? That sure was fast! ...Should I be impressed? Or terrified? You should be impressed. I spent a lot of your money rushing the invention. *gulp!* I'm still looking forward to this... so, what's the venue? Task: Make Homer Present at Moe's (8h, Moe's Tavern) Task: Make Herb Stare in Disbelief (8h, Moe's Tavern) Task: Make Moe Serve Drinks (10h, Moe's Tavern) Homer, you made the Homer car again?! How could you do this to me? It's the only thing I'm capable of creating. *sings with horn* La cucaracha! La cucaracha! How much did this prototype cost? Including Homer's bar tab, you're out 82 million. What? Really? My spongehead brother spent 82 million dollars? I'm ruined! ...Again! There there, Herb. • Commented the reward of 0$ and 0XP for "buying" "Premium" Helen Lovejoy.
• The Canyonero can now be placed on the beach.
• The tutorial questline Pave Paradise now opens the store after giving you the quest.
• Added a new Gil Deal: The Homer.
• Added a questline for the unreleased Herb Powell and Powell Motors: Nostalgia and Kitsch. It'll be a sidequest to the Herb Powell's questline if you bought The Homer.
• Patty's text icons changed slightly.

• Mr. Burn's sounds for good and bad jobs have been swapped. They were swapped by mistake before this update.

March 11 update (v4_13_TheHomer_Patch1_PostLaunch)

• The Gil Deal was removed from the store by setting the ending date to March 16th 2014.

March 12 update (v4_13_TheHomer_Patch2_PostLaunch)

• The Gil Deal has been brought back by restoring the end date to March 16th 2015.
• The Homer now yelds 820 points in Vanity for the Conform-O-Meter. The 3% bonus on $ and XP is still present.
• Homer’s Drink Beer at The Homer now yelds Premium Payout.
• Herb Powell’s Destroy His Office In A Tantrum and Market The Homer jobs yelds Premium Payout.
