  • The tagline "Yvon eht nioj" ("Join the Navy" spelled backwards) is seen during the film promoting the submarine ride. The tagline was previously seen in "New Kids on the Blecch".
  • Homer says he'll need to fake his own death someday. He faked his death in "Mother Simpson".

Goofs

  • When Skinner crosses Wendell's name off the list, several names disappear and are replaced with Cosine Tangent, Scabies Spuckler and Sniffles Spuckler, also Hubert Wong's name suddenly appears on the list.
  • In the large shot of the gym, there are duplicates of Richard, Lewis Clark and Nina Skalka visible.
  • Dr. Hibbert's children are seen at the assembly, even though they go to a different school.
