Synopsis[edit]
- "Marge wants a job, and stumbles into becoming a plastic food storage container-selling drag queen. Meanwhile, Lisa tries to make the world better in the style of "Amélie"."
Plot[edit]
At the Elementary School, after grabbing lunch from Lunchlady Dora, Lisa searches for a place to sit, but finding nowhere fitting, she sits at an empty table. A piece of her lunch falls and hits a panel in the wall near the floor, revealing a box full of stuff belonging to a J. Beardley, which she realizes is Jasper Beardley, revealing his full name.
Meanwhile, at home, Homer finds out Marge will be a Tubberware sales person (a parody of Tupperware), but fails in convincing anyone to host a party at all the houses she tried.
Lisa finds great joy by anonymously giving Jasper his old box.
At Curl Up and Dye, whilst he was doing Marge's hair, Julio offers to hold Marge a Tubberware party to help her sell to his friends. Before the party, Julio sees that Marge had no self-confidence. He then gives her a makeover to give her the confidence she needs to sell Tubberware. The party goes down a huge success, due to the guests thinking that Marge is a drag queen. After the party, Julio tells Marge this. He then tells Marge about his drag queen alter ego, Penelope Cruising.
Lisa begins giving help to people, like Luann and Kirk and Gil, with Bart's help. Then they try to make Agnes believe in Skinner again by hiding a fake diary in their house with kind things about Agnes, supposedly written by him. Afterwards, Julio takes Marge to Draggle Rock, a drag club. He introduces Marge to several drag queens here, including Queen Chante. Marge is inspired and embraces her new alter ego.
Agnes discovers Lisa's plan when she realizes the diary is a fake, destroying Lisa's dreams.
At Moe's Tavern, Moe gives Homer the address of Marge's latest party. When Homer arrives, he bursts in and in a rant, reveals her true identity as a woman. No longer finding her interesting, all the guests leave.
When all hope for Lisa seems gone, Kirk, Luann, Skinner, Gil, Agnes and Jasper invite her to the school's roof, where they thank her for what she did, finally finding her place to eat.
In the end, to take back Marge, Homer becomes a drag queen himself for her, even wearing the costume to go to the Tavern.
