• "It Had to Be You" by Isham Jones plays in the episode.
• Lisa's speech had a Maya Angelou quote in.
• Hubert Wong becomes Time Person of the Year.
• Nelson asks Hubert if he proposed to Lisa at Chipotle.
• The cork from the champagne bottle destroys the Hubble Space Telescope and the James Webb Space Telescope.
• Hubert Wong becomes a parody of Steve Jobs, former CEO of Apple.
