North Carolina is one of the 50 states in the US. The capital is Raleigh and most populous city is Charlotte.

History[edit]

Miss North Carolina was a contestant in the Miss American Girl Pageant.[1]

After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family was trying to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They were looking at a map of the US that had most of states crossed out, which were apparently all the states that the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[2]

Mr. Burns was using the employee men's restroom and started to read graffiti on the stall wall including a dirty limerick. Mr. Burns only read the start "There once was a lady from China" and the end "North Carolina" although Mr. Burns assured "what's in between is unimportant."[3]
