History

After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family was trying to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They were looking at a map of the US that had most of states crossed out, which were apparently all the states that the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[1] When Sideshow Bob grants Walt Warren the decision of choosing which state Bob shoots him in, he choose Hawaii.[2] Using a ukulele, Krusty sings, "I wanna go back to my little grass shack in Kealakekua, Hawaii" (a line of a real song).[3] Homer once offered to take his family to Hawaii.[4]

Trivia

  • It is against the law to compete in a swim meet in swim trunks in Hawaii.[5]
