Troy McClure Media Information
|
Carnival of the Stars is a television program where celebrities perform circus stunts. Troy McClure is the host.
History
Carnival of the Stars was broadcast as a live event from the island Molokai in Hawaii. Homer watched the show at Moe's Tavern while Lisa and Bart watched it in their own home. In the episode they watched, Angela Lansbury walked on hot coals and Krusty was seen trying to do tricks with several white tigers. While Lansbury had some success at firewalking, Krusty's tiger-taming act failed disastrously as the tigers attacked him. When the tigers turned on Krusty, Bart and Lisa changed the channel to a show with Bumblebee Man.
During the show, Troy McClure snuck in plugs for two of his films: Dial M for Murderousness and The Erotic Adventures of Hercules.
Behind the Laughter
Carnival of the Stars is a parody of the annual television special Circus of the Stars.
