Location Information
|
Inga-Bar Beerman's is a bar located in Sweden.
History
Bart Simpson used Denis Leary's cell phone to make a prank call to the bar, asking for "Olav Myfriendsaregay". When the bartender announced the call, the announcement elicited a great deal of restrained laughter from the bar patrons. After the laughter died down, the bartender said to Bart, "If I ever get ahold of you, I will thank you for showing me the futility of human endavour."
Behind the Laughter
- The bar's name is a pun on Ingmar Bergman, a Swedish director, writer and producer who worked in film, stage and television.
- The bartender's reply to Bart is a reference to death, bleakness and betrayal being frequent themes in Bergman's works.
