  • For unknown reasons (possibly by mistake), this episode is referred to as "Homer to the Moe" on Disney+.
  • The Chinese satellite has a roof shaped like a pagoda.
  • At the end of Homer's story he mentions that he is king of the Morlocks. Carl later corrects him by saying that Morlocks are from the future
  • The gates at Swigmore University are swinging saloon doors. The clock reads "No drinking before 5:00" but all the numbers on the clock are 5s.

Goofs

  • Moe tells Homer that he doesn't serve Duff at his new bar, only a Malaysian beer made from soya sauce. However, when Moe introduces Formico to his regulars, the Malaysian beer turns into a green labelled bottle of duff.
  • At the end of the episode, Homer puts a tip in the jar. After the screen pans back, the jar is empty.
  • In the last scene, Homer isn't wearing a tie in one shot but is wearing his pink tie when he goes to put a tip in the jar.
