Snake's Kin is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #167.

Plot[edit]

It is Springfield's first annual Family Day, and the Simpson family is in attendance. Homer wants to leave as soon as possible because they do not sell beer at the festival, but when he sees that Moe has a stall and is selling Moe Cream Soda he begins to drink, and becomes drunk despite Moe telling him that it is not beer. Homer goes to participate in the festival's sack race and cheats by tying all the bags except his together. When the race starts, Snake comes to the entrance of the festival and robs Agnes at the checkout. Snake runs away and then runs straight into Homer on his way to the finish line, and the two begin to fight before the police arrest them. Snake and Homer end up in court, where Judge Constance Harm decides that since the houses are halfway full she puts Snake in a halfway decent house—Homer's, until the court decrees him rehabilitated, and the entire family except Homer hates it. The first morning as Snake sleeps with the Simpson family, he is awoken by the Ned Flanders mowing the lawn, so he goes to "talk" with him. Homer sees what Snake is doing and becomes overjoyed, and he goes to play miniature golf with hom. Marge tells Lisa that she has plenty to do besides taking care of Homer and Snake; she must also clean the basement. Lisa suggests that she could sell things they do not need on eBuy. Marge begins to sell things online and Snake begins to help her, and she begins to appreciate Snake. Bart and Lisa are not happy about Snake, but when the bullies steal Bart's frisbee Snake takes care of them.

Bart tells him what happened to Milhouse, and they run after him to see what happened but they discover Snake talking to the bullies, and he gives them money for stealing stuff, which he helps Marge selling on eBuy because the cops are watching what he does. Bart tells the family what he saw but only Lisa believes him, but she cannot help him without proof. Bart watches an episode of The Itchy & Scratchy Show called "Cain Dis-Abled" which gives him the idea to fight back, and he goes to talk with Lisa. The bullies rob the Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop but when they arrive, they are stopped by Bart and Lisa, who are already there. They say that they have a better deal that they will probably accept. They take the bullies to Legitimate Businessman's Social Club and they are forced to go join the club. When Snake loads his car with packages from Marge, Fat Tony shows up with a gun aimed at him. Snake tries to save his life and tells him that he can work for him, which Fat Tony thinks is interesting. Meanwhile, Marge and Homer come out with more packages for Snake. Fat Tony tells Snake that to prove his loyalty, he must kill Homer and Marge. Homer and Marge are now scared, but instead Snake starts to throw balloons at the mafia and the Simpsons begin to help him. Lisa calls the police, and they come and arrest the mafia and Snake. They all go to court again, but Snake is acquitted by Constance Harm and thanks Marge and Homer for making him a free man again. Bart is not happy, but Lisa thinks he should be; Snake isn't living with them anymore.
